Dear CaDansians,

Summer is slowly drawing to a close. That can only mean one thing: CaDansa is on its way! The Red Deer has started the final preparations and is ready to welcome you back to Steenwijk soon. In this newsletter, you will find a few warm appeals and important dates!

Open Stage

The main stage program is now complete, but CaDansa wouldn’t be CaDansa without the Open Stage. We love giving new talent a spot to shine. Do you want to show the best of yourself? Then sign up quickly! We know there is a lot of interest, so the spots fill up fast.

How does registration work? Send an email to artists@cadansa.nl with the following information:

• the name of your band, the names of all musicians, and which instruments they play
• a technical rider
• whether you have a preference for a day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and/or time

Workshops

This year, we are once again offering a whole series of workshops for both music and dance. You do not need to register for most workshops, but places are limited for a few. Registration for those workshops opens on Monday, September 28 at 7 PM. You can then register on the website.

T-shirts

The deadline for ordering a CaDansa shirt in a larger size (3XL – 4XL – 5XL) is approaching. Do you want to reserve one? Then order before September 6! Remember: the larger sizes are not for sale at the box office during CadanSa.

Organizers’ Meeting

Do you want to network with other organizers from Europe? Then this is the moment! On Saturday, October 17, a room is available between 12:30 and 14:30 for a get-together. There is no program other than an introduction round. The intention is to network. Do you have a proposal for a program or would you like to lead the meeting? Then send an email to info@cadansa.nl addressed to Selena.

Core Team Vacancy

Organizing CaDansa is a fantastic experience, but also one that involves quite a bit of work. Our financial coordinator Paul has kept the ship from disaster for a number of years, but he is gradually ready to step ashore. Are you interested and do you have relevant experience? Then we would love to get to know you! Send an email to info@cadansa.nl, and we will see each other soon.

The festival summer has arrived! We are very sorry that Le Son Continue could not go ahead. For a festival organizer, that is the worst-case scenario, and we hope to see them back next year! 

Fortunately, no heatwave is predicted for CaDansa. That does not mean we will not be getting hot, because there are plenty of energetic bands waiting for us! In this newsletter, we share a lot of practical information and bring you good news regarding our vacancies.
