Confidential advisor

Even at a party like CaDansa, it can happen that not everyone likes the same thing. Knowingly or unknowingly, someone can say or do something inappropriate that causes someone else discomfort.

In those situations, there is the possibility to meet with one of the two CaDansa Confidential Advisers (in Dutch: CaDansa Vertrouwens Persoon) and talk about what can help you in that situation.

What can you expect from them?

They will welcome you and listen to your side of the story.
The conversation is confidential unless someone is in danger or it concerns a crime.
Together with you, they will look for what options are available for your situation.
They will investigate with you whether a solution is possible in an informal atmosphere.
They can support you, help you with preparations for and, if needed, join you when talking to the person(s) involved in your situation.
They will guide you in the possible filing of an official complaint.
If necessary, they know the route to refer to the appropriate medical support.
They also register the situation (completely anonymously) to identify any trends.

How can you reach the confidential advisors?

Of course, you can speak to them when you see them. If they are dancing, wait until the dance is over, but feel free to speak to them afterwards.

Who are the confidential advisors?

To protect their privacy, we only reveal the identities of the confidential advisors on the festival itself. You can find all the information on the posters or the light screens.
