A very happy 2026 to you all! The CaDansa team wishes you a year filled with joyful dances and beautiful encounters – which might even take place at CaDansa 2026… To start off the new year with some exciting news, we’ll announce the date of the next edition of CaDansa, and share a very interesting vacancy for the creatives among you!

…because CaDansa 2026 will take place from the 15th until the 18th of October, 2026!
If you want to receive the latest information about the festival, keep an eye on our Facebook page and on this website. Only 276 days to go until CaDansa starts! We can’t wait.

Will you be CaDansa’s new designer?

Since the very first edition of the festival, Maartje de Goede has created the CaDansa mascot: from the hedgehog in the sky to the bee in the meadow. Her designs of the animal, the poster and the t-shirt gave each year its own unique atmosphere. Sadly, this year will be the last year that Maartje’s creations will decorate the festival – which means that we are looking for a new designer!

If you’re a designer and you believe your style is a good fit for CaDansa, please write to us at questions@cadansa.nl. We’d love to see three to five samples from your portfolio with some comments on why you think the style fits CaDansa, and a short written motivation telling us something about yourself. Send an email before the 15th of March, and we’ll get back to you soon after!

Looking back (and forward!)

As always, several photographers flew around at CaDansa, capturing the magical moments you created on and off the dancefloor. Many thanks to Arne de Laat, Johan Wijchen and Ork de Rooij for being as agile as the kingfisher with their cameras. And, of course, you yourself also caught some sweet, silly or downright hilarious moments in the photobooth! If you feel like taking a trip down memory lane, take a look at the look back page on our website. Almost all pictures are on there, Johan’s pictures will be added soon.

Meanwhile, the CaDansa team is already busy with preparing the next edition of the festival. The first ideas about the new mascot have already been discussed, we’re very excited to see what Maartje will have in store for us this year!

Accommodations

On a practical note: we are working to arrange some CaDansa deals with local accommodations in Steenwijk. We will add the deals to the website when they are finalised, so keep an eye on the accommodations page!

It’s advisable not to wait too long to find yourself a place to stay during the festival because sleeping spots in the area are, unfortunately, limited.
